Stamped Concrete
Stamped Concrete
There are a multitude of unique designs that can be implemented to a concrete surface through a stamped concrete procedure. The designs can end up being so different that many people that come to us with an idea that they saw online or around here locally have a hard time wrapping their head around the fact that two finished products that look completely different can be reached with a similar procedure. Yes, the simple idea behind stamped concrete is that we literally stamp a design onto wet cement. There are a ton of different looks that can be achieved through this relatively simple process.
Helping You Create The Unique Stamped Concrete Design
As we just mentioned there are a ton of unique designs that can be achieved through a stamped concrete procedure. We can walk you through the different types of designs that we’ll be able to create. If you happen to have a specific idea in mind we’d love to take a look at that option. We’ll let you know what we can offer that would resemble the idea that you have, and we’ll go from there.
Can Existing Concrete Surfaces Be Stamped?
This is one of the more common questions that we get. The answer is yes. That being said, this doesn’t mean that we’re going to be able to provide a complete facelift of the area just by doing more stamping. It could be the case in very specific situations. Give us a call though, we’ll come by to inspect your existing surface. Once we do that we’ll be able to provide a more accurate assessment on how we’d upgrade the surface. Just to recap, the answer to the original question is a yes. There are more things to consider though.
How Long Does A Stamped Concrete Structure Last?
The structure itself is going to last quite a few decades. The design and the look can fade maybe around the first decade. Particularly if you picked a design that is very color full, and the area doesn’t get a ton of maintenance. There are simple care steps if you will that you can apply to the surface to make sure that the colors don’t fade and that the figures on the concrete don’t start losing their overall outline. We can walk you through those once we are done creating the original surface. If you need help restoring an existing stamped concrete surface you can give us a call about that as well!
The Right Finish For A Particular Surface
If you get a chance to read through some of the other pages on the site you’ll see that we also offer stained concrete finishes. We can’t say that one option is better than the other. That’s not just because we potentially have a conflict of interests. It’s just that at the end of the day each option can provide a good look to different types of areas. Stamped concrete is mostly used as an outdoor concrete surface finish, but there’s no law that says you can’t apply it indoors.
